    SSLD Delivers 92% Efficiency

    Designed to withstand harsh automotive environments, the ISL78100 high power integrated solid-state-ligthing driver (SSLD) can drive from 1 to 8 HB (high brightness) LEDs. Capable of operating in boost, buck, or SEPIC configurations, the 4 mm × 4 mm × 0.9 mm QFN-packaged device operates at up to 92 percent efficiency. Features include DC bias current or external PWM signaling LED light level control thermal compensation with over-temperature control, and a load isolation switch as well as an optional fault monitor that disconnects the input supply. AEC-Q100-rated and fully TS16949-compliant, the SSLD is rated for the automotive temperature range from -40°C to +105°C. Pricing begins at $1.32 in 1,000-unit quantities.
